This is your USD News Minute.
On March 8, the USD School of Business will be hosting the Women in Data Science San Diego @ USD conference. This virtual event will feature presentations and panel discussions by women in the data science field, with a focus on navigating a data science career. Visit the website to register for this free event, which is open to all genders.
USD’s Mulvaney Center is teaming up with Alma Migrante, a nonprofit organization in Tijuana, to tell the stories of human rights defenders in Mexico. USD students will collaborate with students across the border, and create 10-15 digital videos for the organization. Read more about this exciting project on the USD News Center.
USD’s ‘Turning Wheel’ mobile classroom hit the road on Saturday for the first Turning Wheel Educational Connection – Conecta Educativa event at Cesar Chavez Park in Barrio Logan which provided complimentary internet access to local families while providing additional resources such as free health screenings and tutoring.
