A bicyclist was killed after being stuck by a vehicle Tuesday morning in Balboa Park, police said.
The crash happened about 7:30 a.m. on Pershing Drive, south of the Morley Field Disc Golf Course. When officers arrived, the bicyclist was unresponsive.
The victim was taken to a hospital while medics tried CPR but later died, Officer Scott Lockwood said.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, Lockwood said.
Police shut down a stretch of Pershing Drive for the crash investigation. No further information was immediately available.
