- Bindi Irwin paid tribute to husband Chandler Powell on Twitter
- She said she’s thankful for having an extraordinary husband
- The 22-year-old mom-to-be is due in March
Bindi Irwin just expressed her gratitude for having an “extraordinary” husband in Chandler Powell in a sweet message she shared on social media ahead of their first baby’s birth.
On Sunday, the 22-year-old conservationist took to Twitter to pay tribute to her 24-year-old spouse by sharing a photo of them smiling for the camera together. She also wrote a short but meaningful message for Powell in her post.
“Every day I’m thankful for this extraordinary man that I get to call my husband. @chandlerpowell9, I love you with all my heart. You’re the light of my life,” she wrote.
Many of her fans quickly reacted to her post. Most of them agreed that Irwin and Powell are a beautiful couple. Some also voiced that Bindi’s late father Steve Irwin would be so proud of her.
“You guys are such a beautiful couple! Wishing you the best for when the baby comes! I’m sure the baby will be just as amazing as you guys,” one wrote.
“You guys are so beautiful together and you’re going to make such a beautiful family,” another commented on Irwin’s tweet.
“Your Dad in heaven is looking down at you and your family smiling. He is so proud of you all,” another fan stated.
Irwin and Powell are currently preparing for the arrival of their first child as the mom-to-be is expected to give birth in March. It was Irwin’s mom, Terri, who revealed her due date in an interview earlier this month.
“Bindi is doing so awesome… It’s been so special. She’s due next month, so it’s that sweet spot where you really miss being able to see your shoes,” Terri said on Australia’s “Sunrise on 7.”
Meanwhile, in a previous interview with Entertainment Tonight, Irwin admitted that her later father would have been a great grandfather to her daughter if he were still around.
“He would’ve been a good, good grandpa. Yeah, he really would’ve been. I don’t think we would’ve ever seen our daughter. He would’ve just whisked her away into the zoo and it would’ve been perfect. But it is so nice that we’ll be able to introduce her to her grandfather through all of the documentaries. It’s really special,” she said.
