San Diego looks to extend its season-opening win streak to five games, which would set a new franchise record. The team is currently tied with the inaugural 2015-16 squad for the best start to a regular season.

Lukas Dostal will start for San Diego. The rookie netminder enters tonight’s game among league leaders in wins (3), goals-against average (1.67) and save percentage (.956).

Defenseman Trevor Carrick will skate in his 400th American Hockey League game. The brother of team captain Sam Carrick, Trevor has 50-155=205 points and 418 PIM in 399 career games. In four games with San Diego, the defenseman has one assist with a plus-2 rating.

Another rookie netminder will make his pro debut for the Eagles. Trent Miner, a seventh-round selection of the Colorado Avalanche in the 2019 NHL Draft, gets the net for the Eagles in the second game of the back-to-back series. He posted a 41-20-4 record with a 2.56 GAA and .909 SV% in three seasons with the Vancouver Giants of the Western Hockey League.
