Sheriff’s deputies were investigating a shooting Thursday night in San Marcos that sent one person to a hospital, a lieutenant said.
Few details of the shooting were immediately available, but it happened about 10:50 p.m. on La Rosa Drive near South Rancho Santa Fe Road, according to San Diego sheriff’s Lt. Mark Moreno.
Medics took one victim to a hospital with unknown injuries, Moreno said. A description of the shooter was not immediately available.
The street where the shooting occurred is a short, dead-end residential road west of South Rancho Santa Fe Road and a few blocks south of state Route 78.
