A 19-year-old man who fell from his skateboard on the UC San Diego campus late Friday was killed when he was struck by a car, police said.
The skateboarder fell while riding west on Voight Drive about 11:35 p.m. and moments later was run over by a westbound Nissan Maxima driven by a 20-year-old man, San Diego police said.
The skateboarder died at the scene. His name was not released.
